Congratulations Dr. Brijesh Thapa !!!

Dr. Brij Thapa, Associate Professor and Director of the Eric Friedheim Tourism Institute, Department of Tourism, Recreation & Sport Management has won a major award of the University of Florida – the 2011 International Educator Of The Year. Dr. Thapa received this award as a senior faculty award. This is a prestigious award of the University, tremendous achievement for Dr. Thapa and a great pride for the Nepalese community in America.

The award is presented to individuals each year who have made significant contributions to the internationalization of the learning, discovery, and/or service missions of the University of Florida. The awards will be presented at a reception at the Keene Faculty Center (Dauer Hall) beginning at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, November 15 during the annual celebration of International Education Week.

Dr.  Brij Thapa was also the main speaker at the Florida Nepal Association’s 19th Annual Function and the Visit Nepal Year 2011 Celebration held in Orlando, Florida on October 15, 2011.
